The Yokota Air Base Japanese-American Friendship Festival is a cherished tradition that fosters cultural exchange and strengthens the bond between the United States and Japan. This year marks the 48th iteration of this exciting event, scheduled for May 18th and 19th, 2024.
Building on Last Year’s Success
Last year’s festival, held on May 20th and 21st, 2023, was a resounding success. Attendees were treated to a vibrant display of Japanese and American culture, with captivating performances like taiko drumming and karate demonstrations.

Identification: All visitors 16 years old and older must bring a photo ID with proof of nationality (passport, driver’s license, My Number Card, Resident Identification Card).
Pre-Registration: For visitors who are not Japanese or U.S. citizens, pre-registration online 72 hours before the event is recommended to avoid delays at the gate. You can register online by visiting the Yokota Air Base website at https://www.yokota.af.mil/.
