Yokohama’s Nights Aglow
Yokohama city is currently transformed into a breathtaking canvas of light and music with the “Yoru no Yo 2024” illumination event, a key part of the larger “Yokohama Illumination 2024-25” festival. Running from November 1st, 2024 to March 2nd, 2025, “Yoru no Yo 2024” illuminates the city from December 5th to December 30th, 2024.
A Spectacle of Light and Sound
This year’s “Yoru no Yo 2024” is themed “Starry Harbor” and promises to be the most spectacular yet! The highlight is undoubtedly the “Highlight of Yokohama” – a five-minute spectacle of light and sound that engulfs the entire city. This year, a record-breaking 42 locations will participate in this dazzling display.
Interactive Art and Whale Projections
Get ready for an immersive experience at Osanbashi Pier with “Oosanbashi Kujira-za,” one of Japan’s largest outdoor projection mapping shows. This year, a parent and child whale will swim across the building in a captivating display! And in Yamashita Park, be amazed by a 250-meter-long interactive digital art installation where lights respond to your movements. It’s one of the largest of its kind in Japan!
