Yaro Ramen Offers Stir-Fried Vegetables for ¥300 For 3 Days
A popular mega-sized ramen shop Yaro Ramen will run a promotion of “Stir-fried Vegetable, Salt Tonkotsu Flavor” for 3 days from May 23 through 25 for ¥300 yen (¥500+ for combo).
Why did they launch stir-fried veggies?
As the sales of restaurants continued to dramatically decline due to the pandemic, the vendor said, “Farmers are having trouble selling vegetables.” So Yaro Ramen was thinking how they can help. Then they started on stir-fried vegetables in order to sell more vegetables.
Regarding the cabbage used for their ramen and the veggie dish, they actively purchase out of-spec cabbage in the shipping process to reduce waste ingredients and support farmers and vendors.
2 flavors to compliment the veggie dish
In order to complete the special stir-fried vegetables, they went through trial and error for about half a year. Then they finally picked 2 flavors, “salt tonkotsu flavor” and “burnt soy sauce flavor”.
Using their pork bone soup that has been cooked for over 18 hours, the “salt tonkotsu taste” has been completed with a deep taste.
