The World’s First Veggie Dog Bistro Opens In IKEA ShibuyaIKEA Japan will launch a new menu of “Vegetable Dog” using flavorful vegetable patties only at IKEA Shibuya on November 30. The new “Veggie Dog” menu will be available exclusively at IKEA Shibuya among IKEA stores around the world.

IKEA focuses on offering both people-friendly and global-friendly menus at affordable prices and the option of living a sustainable life. Meat-free IKEA Veggie Dogs are rich in fiber, protein, vitamins and nutrients, and are low-fat, low-cholesterol, low-calorie foods.

Eating veggie dogs instead of traditional IKEA hot dogs can reduce your climate footprint by about a tenth.

The product development team got all departments involved through trial and error for the new menu. The Swedish city name is used for the items. And the prices are reasonable.

No.1 recommendation is STOCKHOLM / Stockholm Kebab Veggie Dog. They add a plant-based kebab instead of IKEA original meat on top of the base veggie dog,

IKEA Shibuya will carry eight limited edition items in addition to the two types of veggie dogs sold at traditional IKEA stores. Six of the ten are plant-based ingredients, including buns. There is also a great set menu with drinks and potato chips.

• These menu at IKEA Shibuya’s Swedish Bistro are available only for takeout.
• This is not a vegan menu. Some toppings include egg and cheese dairy products, and seafood such as shrimp and salmon.

Besides veggie dogs, they also have plant-based menus. You can also get cinnamon rolls, which are familiar to IKEA stores, UTZ certified coffee, plant ramen, and Scandinavian low-alcohol beer.
