New Outdoor Public Art To Appear at “teamLab Planets” on July 16
Human behavior changes Infinity waterfall forever
A new public art “Universe of Water Particles Falling from the Sky” will appear at “teamLab Planets TOKYO DMM“, a museum where you enter the water in Toyosu, Tokyo, organized by the art group TeamLab.
The work “Drawing on the Water Surface Created by the Dance of Koi and People – Infinity“, where visitors can walk barefoot in the water will have a summer look! Then you can also experience the sunflowers spreading on the water surface from July 16 through August 2.
The teamLab Planets has been extended through the end of 2022.
teamLab Planets is a “water museum” consisting of 4 super-large work spaces and 4 outdoor works. More than 1.8 million people have visited since its opening in July 2018. The museum implements infection control measures such as admission restrictions.
Universe of Water Particles Falling from the Sky
The new artwork, “Universe of Water Particles Falling from the Sky,” is exhibited outdoor and open to public.
Water is represented by a continuum of innumerable water particles and the interaction between particles is calculated. Then the behavior of water particles draws lines in the space. The “super-subjective space” that teamLab considers makes the group of lines complanate to draw the waterfall.
When people approach or stand on the artwork, the flow of water changes. The art changes forever, influenced by the behavior of people.
