Popular Roppongi Soup Pasta Place Offers 2 New Dishes For a Limited Time!
A tiny, hidden gem tucked in the small alleys but powerful female chef-led restaurant in Roppongi, Tokyo “Noza Caza” has summer exclusive pasta dishes. They feature soup pasta which is popular in Japan now.
The restaurant opened in December 2021 and started offering “fresh soup pasta” with Fettuccine that has a chewy texture available only for lunch in April. And the new lunch menu has been so successful there is a line every day.
Chef Aika Tanizoe came up with very special “Cold pasta in cream sauce with whitebait fish and seaweed”. We asked her what inspired her to come up with these ingredients. She says, “based on my culinary experience, I picked white bait and fresh seaweed. These are perfect match for summer!”. She has over 10 years experience in culinary industry and acquired Italian and Japanese cooking techniques.
They also have “Cheesy tomato soup pasta” and “Cream soup pasta with Kyusyu herb chicken and 3 kinds of mushrooms”.

Cheesy tomato soup pasta
We had a chance to try 3 pastas mentioned above. Here is the first one, “Cheesy tomato soup pasta”. Well, I’m a cheese lover so this is a perfect dish for me!
Aika made old-fashioned Spaghetti Napolitan a soup version. Plenty of two kinds of cheese are sprinkled on top and roasted to make it thick. It looks really rich but not as heavy as I thought. And the chewy texture makes me full.
Cold pasta in cream sauce with whitebait fish and seaweed
If you like Japanese food, you will like this pasta for sure. She tops whitebait fish (shirasu) and fresh seaweed over the noodle. The cream soup is light and goes with the toppings. Eating with lemon changes the flavor too. So refreshing! Mr. Roboto actually loved this dish the best. And the noodle is, of course, al dente.
Regular lunch menu
“Cream soup pasta with Kyusyu herb chicken and 3 kinds of mushrooms” is one of the regular items for lunch. Don’t worry, you can eat this any time!
