A relatively new Japanese restaurant group Isseki Sancho will open a new “members only” high-end Yakiniku restaurant “Hachimen Roppi” on February 1. But the location is not disclosed as a part of their concept. The group started its restaurant business in October 2020 during the pandemic.

Takushi Yoneda, CEO of the Isseki Sancho group will open the next restaurant, a membership-only yakiniku restaurant with an undisclosed address, in Shimbashi. Only members and their companions can eat there.

So far, the group has been recognized not only for the menu they offer but for the “hospitality” the employees have. Mr. Yoneda as well as his staff came from the wedding industry. When he was 24, Mr. Yoneda was appointed as a food & beverage manager. After leaving the wedding company during the pandemic, he opened his first restaurant in Shimbashi, Tokyo in October 2022. The restaurant became so popular customers had a hard time booking. And the group has now 6 locations.

New concept different from other group restaurants

Hachimen Roppi focuses solely on “deliciousness”. They want to offer the best-quality Yakiniku to customers who really love meat. So they decided to open with the concept of a membership system without disclosing the address. You can experience high-end yet unique Yakiniku dining with carefully selected branded beef, sake that goes with the meat, and craftsmanship.

We can’t talk about Hachimen Roppi without their chef! The executive chef MURO grew up with his family who loves Yakiniku. They went out to Yakiniku once a week since he was in elementary school. MURO learned his meat-preparing skills at long-established yakitori and yakiniku restaurants for 16 years.

Course menu

Chef Muro meets the producers and carefully selects branded beef only that works for their menu.

The menu features “Jun Tajima Usunaga Beef”, only 100 of which are shipped each year. Also, there will be a variety of items that bring out the best of the meat’s original flavor to the delight of experienced adults.

Basically, they offer 2 courses: the Omakase Course (¥15,000 including tax) and the VIP Course (¥18,000 including tax).

After trial and error, they created the masterpiece. Two kinds of sauce bring out the potential of the meat to the maximum. The refreshing dipping sauce thoroughly removes the fat from the beef in your mouth, making the meat and rice more delicious.

Fresh intestine with no smell. The chef carefully prepares it so that even those who don’t like intestines can enjoy it. And most of all, the miso sauce becomes addictive once you eat it!

Dashi Cold Noodle

They use 2 types of dashi for this dish; one made from mackerel and another from beef. It has a refreshing yet deep flavor.

Hand-crushed mackerel soup ice on top of the noodles enhances the refreshing feeling. And sprinkled with yuzu citrus brings out the aroma and flavor. They use Morioka cold noodles for the moderately elastic texture.

This is one of the Isseki Sancho group’s signature dishes.

Rice and egg

Perfect paring “Tamago kake Gohan (TKG)” – carefully selected eggs on top of white rice. When you eat it together with the meat, the rich and luxurious flavor spreads throughout your mouth.

Membership purchase

Hachimen Roppi seeks members on cloud funding. Unfortunately, the 1st phase is almost over, which is the end of this month. During this phase, they raised over ¥ 38 million as of today! Wow!
