Japan’s First Vegan Fruit Sandwich Store “fruits and season” Opened In Ebisu
“Fruits and season” (takeout only) opened in Ebisu, Tokyo on January 13.
Using fruits carefully selected by “Daiwa Supermarket”
The shop uses fruits selected at the market every morning by the greengrocer “Daiwa Supermarket” in Okazaki City, Aichi, which is also known as the fruit sand specialty store “Daiwa Nakameguro” where there is always a long line. Some of them are shipped directly from farmers. They offer sandwiches made with the most delicious seasonal fruits at a reasonable price.
To minimize food waste, they use whole fruits as much as possible. And they also prepare sandwiches that make use of uneven parts such as edges (also delicious!). They always have about 10 types of items on the menu. The average price is ¥650 per item.
Year-round items: Mandarin orange ¥ 680 / Pine ¥ 580 / Kiwi ¥ 650 / Mango ¥ 1,350 / Banana ¥ 420 (All prices do not include tax.)
•Prices may change depending on shipping.
Vegan fruit sandwich without animal products
In response to growing awareness of safe and secure food and the growing diversity of food preferences, “fruits and season” has developed vegan fruit sandwiches that do not use animal products such as milk and eggs.
Using soymilk-based homemade cream and original soymilk bread, the calories are about 1/3 of normal fruit sandwiches.

They are also particular about the packaging that conveys the enjoyment visually so people buy them for a gift. A popular stylist, Michiko Yamawaki who works as creative director also pays attention to the happy image visuals, packages and store interiors she creates.
•A gift box for fruit sandwiches of 2 pieces / 4 pieces is available (sold separately).

In addition to take-out only and fully cashless payments at physical stores, it also supports delivery (Uber Eats, Wolt).
