Japan Resumes Business Track, Shortening Quarantine To 3 Days
When I heard this news, I saw promising future, at the same time, disappointed. Business travelers now have only 3-day quarantine. However, Japanese people still need to quarantine for 10-14 days.
Government who prioritizes foreigners?
What’s the sense? Well, Japan Federation of Economic Organizations should have been pushing the government to open up the border for economical reasons. It sends the message to the own people they are not so important as foreigners when it comes to economic recovery. So a lot of Japanese people should be feeling it’s unfair. What do you think? What about your country? How is your government opening up your country?
We, Mr. Roboto and Ritsuko have our own business in both Japan and the US. Before Pandemic, we used to travel often between these 2 countries. And we were hoping Japan would lift the 14-day mandate. 3 days is good too but it’s only for big companies.
And another weird point. Those who got vaccinated with Pfizer, Moderna and AstraZeneca can reduce to 10 days. What about me? I got Johnson & Johnson in the US. Again, another nightmare!

3 days quarantine conditions
The government needs to examine the person who accepts the qualified travelers and submit the application form, pledge, and activity plan.
In addition, those who have not stayed in the “10-day / 6-day quarantine designated country” within 14 days before the arrival date are eligible.
Also, as before, the date of entry is not counted in the number of days, so 3 nights and 4 days are required.
