Houseboat AR Time Travel Tour Invites You to The Edo Period
The houseboat industry was severely damaged by the Covid pandemic. Houseboat Tokyo Cooperative Association sees the predicament as an opportunity to develop a new customer base, and will take on the challenge of creating new entertainment that combines the unprecedented “AR (Augmented Reality) x houseboat”.
Experience the life of the Edo period with AR
Houseboat has a history of 200 years since the Heian period, born as an aristocratic pastime.
It was popular among samurai during the Edo period, and gradually spread to the general public as a stylish and fashionable entertainment, and has been inherited by modern houseboats.
From those who apply online, the first 100 people will receive a free boarding ticket!
The tour is 60 minutes on January 15 and 16, 2022, between 1pm and 5:30PM. You can choose one from 2 routes, Sky Tree or Odaiba. And they provide you with AR experience via your smart phone: Time Travel to Edo Period.
