FIVB Volleyball World Cup 2019

Sports event before 2020

The volleyball world comes together for another FIVB Volleyball World Cup and is once again hosted by Japan. Both Men and Women national teams that qualified will compete in a 12 participating teams single round-robin competition. A single ranking per gender will conclude over the 11 match days played. Each venue will have 3 games played per each match day.

The 2019 Women’s World Cup will be played in five cities across Japan. Starting Sept. 14th in Yokohama (Yokohama Arena) and Hamamatsu (Hamamatsu Arena) over five match days. Then teams travel to Sapporo (Hokkaido Prefectural Sports Centre) and Toyama (Toyama City Gymnasium) for three more matches. Competition concludes in Osaka’s Maruzen Intec Arena and Edion Arena Sept. 29th with FIVB Volleyball Women’s World Cup Champions along with silver and bronze winners.

The Men’s World Cup spikes off Oct. 1st with five match days in Fukuoka (Marinmesse) and Nagano (White Ring) respectively. The remaining 6 matches will be held at Green Arena of historic Hiroshima concluding Oct. 15th with the FIVB Volleyball Men’s World Cup Champions and respective silver and bronze winners.
