Swedish “Omnipollo” Beer Stand Opened Its First Asia Location In Tokyo

Offering 11 flavors with beer taps

OMNIPOLLO JAPAN launched the beer stand “Omnipollos Tokyo” on August 1. Omnipollo is a craft beer brand based in Stockholm, Sweden, which attracts beer fans around the world. It is their first beer stand in Asia.

Omnipollo is a beer/lifestyle brand based on the concept of “Change the perception of beer, forever” by co-founders Henok Fentie and Karl Grandin.

There are three beer stand stores in Sweden and one in Germany, and the store in Tokyo will be the first store in Asia.

Henoku and Karl have a special inspiration for Japan and have long dreamed of opening a bar in Tokyo. During their frequent visits to Japan, they encountered a beautiful little wooden building in Kabuto-cho, Nihonbashi. Originally an eel restaurant that had been popular for 70 years, its appearance and atmosphere was perfect for them, and it was exactly what they wanted.

The store was designed by Fredrik Paulsen, who has also worked on Omnipollo beer stands. He is an up-and-coming interior designer who has been selected as two awards, “Sweden Designer of the Year” and “ELLE DECOR Sweden Inspirer of the Year”.

While respecting the historic wooden architecture and leaving as much as possible, Fredrick use his specialty of psychedelic expression to create a fantastic and unique store space.

Omnipollos Tokyo’s store design concept is “Dissolving Borders of Perception”. Similar to Omnipolo’s brand vision, it has been devised to completely overturn various concepts and images.

From the floor to the walls, the sky blue is connected without boundaries, and if you look up at the ceiling, you can see the traditional wooden attic, creating the sensation that the sky and ground are reversed and fluffy.

With the aim of making beer more than just beer, Omnipollo expresses its desire to “combine fashion design style and enjoy all the experiences” as Fredrik feels.
