Experience-Based Attraction “ISLAND MIRRORGE VR” Appeared In Odaiba
The experience-based ride attraction “ISLAND MIRRORGE VR” jointly developed by Tiffon Co., Ltd. and Niigata Broadcasting Co., Ltd. opened in the immersive entertainment facility “Tyffonium Odaiba” on July 15.
This attraction is a dark fantasy work set in the tunnel of Sado Kinzan, which is a historical heritage of Japan, and is a VR version of MR (* 1) content that you can experience locally in Sado Kinzan. This seated ride attraction is fully equipped with a chair vibration and ventilation system, so you can feel as if you are sliding in a mine cart in the tunnel of Kanayama. Enjoy the delicate story and the realistic feeling of running.

What is historic “Sado Kinzan”?
“Sado Kinzan”, located on Sado Island, a remote island in Niigata Prefecture, has supported the finances of the Edo Shogunate by manufacturing oval coins under the direct control of the Tokugawa Shogunate since its opening in 1601. It was privatized in 1869 , became an imperial property under the jurisdiction of the Imperial Household Ministry, and contributed to the modernization of Japan. It produced about 1500kg of gold and about 25tons of silver during peak production.
The operations were suspended in 1989 due to resource depletion, ending its nearly 400-year history. Due to its high historical value, it was added to the UNESCO World Heritage Tentative List in 2010, and they are aiming for full registration.
How does the story go?
A hands-on ride attraction set in “Historic Site Sado Kinzan” on the mysterious island “Sado Island”. Beyond space-time, what is at the back of the fantastic mine where historical heritage and another world intersect … The fantastic Sado Kinzan mine that is reproduced in VR space, together with the spirit of gold light stone “Auru” will take you in a trolley for the investigation.
