Shimokitazawa is a trendy neighborhood in Tokyo, Japan, known for its vibrant arts and music scene. It’s home to numerous cafes, shops, theaters, and restaurants. So we had chance to go there and the last time we visited a gluten-free curry place Komainu Coffee !

And this time, we went to Xiaolongbao at Mikan Shimokitazawa. This new facility consists of 5 blocks that was built on the former Keio Inokashira Line embankment. In short, It’s mixed-use complex with diverse people beyond genres and values.
So we tried Xiaolongbao place called “da pai dang 105“.

Prepared by skilled dim sum masters flown in from their respective regions, these xiaolongbao are cooked to perfection in dedicated grilling pots, resulting in a mouthwatering treat you won’t want to miss.

Pan-fried Xiaolongbao (¥545 for 4 pcs)
The key features of this dish are its chewy texture, abundant soup filling, and crispy bottom. It is the signature menu item of da pai dang, prepared in a dedicated iron pan. They cook both vigorously and delicately, ensuring the perfect level of doneness.
<Note> Watch out! Before you eat, get the soup out first. Mr. Roboto bit on it and the soup came straight out our friend sitting in front of him.
